Hospice Social Worker (MSW)

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution. (Required)

  • Good working knowledge of community resources for financial programs, informational programs and eligibility requirements

  • Ability to work with and knowledge of procedures for state programs and skilled nursing facilities, etc.

  • At least two years of social work experience, hospice experience is a plus

  • Vehicle, driver’s license and car insurance

  • Understanding of hospice philosophy and the needs of the terminally ill (we can help you with this one!)

  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices

  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting

  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers

  • Satisfactory criminal background check

  • Presentation of negative TB test or CXR as required by state law

  • Ability to provide good written documentation in a timely manner

  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision

The Details

  • Salary range: $57,000 - $72,000/yr, depending on experience

  • Hours: Full time

  • Location: Pittsburgh, PA
